Throughout His short time here on earth, Jesus repeatedly informed His disciples that it would be necessary to depart in order to prepare a place for them in heaven where they would be with Him for all eternity.

Although they tried to understand, it was impossible to decipher the meaning of their Master’s words, much less control the human emotion of fear. They could not comprehend their best friend and Savior ever leaving this earth without them.

Thus, prior to His ascension to heaven, Jesus comforted the disciples by letting them know they would never be alone but have a counselor that would be with them forever. This advocate, called The Spirit of Truth, would assist and comfort them every day of their lives.

Consequently, the promised Holy Spirit came 50 days after the resurrection of Jesus; thus, sounding like the blowing of a violent wind and filling the whole house where they were sitting. In addition, the astonished disciples saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. Having been filled with the Holy Spirit, they all spoke in tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

Just like the disciples, when we join our lives to the Savior, the Holy Spirit will become our advocate and counselor each and every day. Through the spontaneous work of the Holy Spirit, we will receive his gifts; character traits found in the very nature of Christ. (Love, joy, peace patience, kindness goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control).

This glorious collection literally glows with the presence of the Holy Spirit through beautiful pictures, Scriptures and poetry that will enter every open heart. Each devotional contains a picture with Scripture beneath and a matching poem.
